GM Diet Day 4: Only Banana and Milk – bit hard
Till day 3, you were on the no carb or low carb diet. But on the day 4 of the diet, bananas and milk are allowed. Diet plan of fourth day help the body to replenish its carb stores, minerals like potassium and sodium.

Day 5 of the Vegetarian GM Diet gives a break from the monotony of fruits and vegetables. Although, the global version of GM Diet has inclusion of meat on this day, for Indian vegetarians this diet is modified and substituted with veg. sources of proteins and brown rice.

Fiber content helps in digestion. This high protein and less carbohydrate diet day aids in reducing fat faster than anything.
Substitute for Brown rice: Quinoa or white rice.
Boiled or cooked – Best way is eating boiled legumes but if you can’t, just fry them with extra virgin olive oil. Avoid adding vegetables in it.

The food containing gluten are strictly restricted in this diet. The roti contains wheat flour. This contains genetically modified and processed flour which causes weight gain and cause issue in maintaining the weight.
Brown rice instead of the wheat is free from gluten and is easy to digest. This rice has low content of calories which also aids in weight loss. Thus, the brown rice is a better option in comparison to the roti which contains gluten.

Though GM diet is effective, it is not suitable for a longer duration. Here are some possible side effects of this diet plan:
Drain Body Energy: GM diet plan is rigid and it limits intake of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and other essential nutrients. This lead to depletion of energy and the diet followers end-up feeling tired. Also, due to change in diet all of a sudden, it leads to fatigues.
Slow Metabolism: GM diet plan includes intake of vegetables and fiber which are responsible for the smooth functioning of the metabolic system. However, lack of protein intake leads to muscle degradation and weakness. Muscle plays a crucial role in metabolism. When metabolic rate slows down, diet followers may face a hard time losing weight.

Proteins, fats, and vitamins play a vital role in maintaining glowing skin and healthy hair.
