Home Remedies For Weight LoA few decades ago, people used only natural home remedies also known as Gharelu Nuskhe to cure their problems. In India, we also use loads of remedies like Turmeric milk, Tulsi, kadha etc. In the same manner, there are many natural home remedies for weight loss, which are safe to use, are very effective and have negligible side effects. One of the most common and important spices is Jeera(Cumin Seeds). It not only promotes health benefits but also helps in reducing obesity and specially for reducing belly fat.

Black Pepper(Kali Mirch) contains an element known as piperine which is useful in preventing the formation of new fat cells in the body.

Recipe – To prepare this home remedy, you need to mix 4 tbsp of lemon juice, 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tsp of black pepper to 250 ml of lukewarm water. One glass of this mixture if drank on an empty stomach in the morning can help in rapid weight loss.

Do you feel me? I tried using it and I assure you that it works and is not harmful for your body until consumed in appropriate quantity.

Apple cider vinegar helps in keeping you satiated for long, and trust me it works like nothing else! It thereby helps in consumption of fewer calories. It also helps in reducing belly fat and works in reduction of waist circumference, along with improving gut health.

For the recipe, I just put 1-2 tbsp of ACV in 1 glass of water and drink it before sleeping, and that’s working for me. Remember, use a straw to drink it to secure your teeth from the acid.

7. Curry Patta Tea

 And here we have another common ingredient thoroughly used in our kitchens in almost all recipes. Curry leaves, or kadi patta or meethi neem pattiyan have amazing medicinal and weight loss properties which make them an extremely useful ingredient.

Curry leaves can actively remove all toxins from our body through its antioxidant properties and can improve digestion. Not only that, this remedy reduces bad cholesterol levels which can help your heart be healthy. It also burns body fat effectively.

Recipe

One of the simplest ways to consume curry leaves for reducing obesity is through curry leaves tea. You just need to boil 250 ml of water and add a few(Around 15) curry leaves to it. Let it steep and cool for a while. Drink one glass of curry leaves tea in the morning on an empty stomach.

8. Coconut oil

Well, this might be a shocker for some of you but consuming coconut oil has its own benefits. Coconut oil has been amazingly beneficial for losing weight. It contains healthy components such as medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) lauric acid which is actively converted into energy after being sent to the liver. (2)

It also helps you to keep full and thus you end up consuming fewer and burn more calories. Coconut oil targets mainly belly fat and helps you to slim down.

How Much

According to many Studies 2 tbsp of coconut oil around 30 gram before any main meals should be consumed. Or you can drink that in 1 glass of water before sleeping.

9. Green Juice – Dhaniya Juice

Coriander leaves is another well used ingredient in our kitchen, and we all know how healthy it is. But did you know that coriander also helps in losing weight? Yes, you heard it right.

Coriander has important components known as polyphenols which help in eliminating harmful fat cells around the liver. It is also backed up by a study of NIH studies on rats. (3)

Coriander is also extremely low in calorie count and does not let you exceed your daily limit even if eaten in more quantity. Alike other ingredients which we discussed above, coriander also has antioxidant properties which help in eliminating toxins and reduce bloating.

My Special Dhaniya Juice Recipe

I shall now share my favorite and effective recipe comprising of coriander leaves which has helped me shed a lot of pounds, which is my special dhaniya juice. You will need to,

  • Chop some coriander leaves, one tomato and add to one glass of water.
  • Add a few garlic cloves, cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger, black salt and white salt.
  • Blend them in a mixer and your juice is ready to be consumed. You will further know how garlic and ginger help in losing weight effectively.

You can have this drink once in day, either in the morning or in the evening.

10. Flax seeds (Alsi) – Very Famous Home Remedy

 You must have heard of flax seeds (also known as alsi) being so renowned for weight loss and other health properties. Well, it is entirely true as flax seeds are rich in fiber and they keep you full for longer. Thus, it helps you to reduce cravings and watch over your caloric count.

Flax seeds also contain an important element known as lignans which help in increasing metabolic rate and lowering the cholesterol levels of the body. Another important element present in flax seeds are essential fatty acids known as Omega- 3s, which keeps your weight down.(4,5)

11. Cayenne pepper – Sabut Lal Mirch

 This might be a new ingredient for some of you, well only because it is not really known in India, but is quite widely used. Must you know, cayenne pepper helps in reducing obesity at a rapid pace due to a number of factors.

 Isn’t it good news for you spicy food lovers out there?

It has an essential element known as capsacain and according to research, this element causes thermogenic reaction. It helps in building your metabolism and burning fat rapidly. Another study conducted in 2014 backed up the fact that consuming this wonder ingredient helped in reducing cravings and thus keeping your caloric count in place. Eating this spice also increases metabolic rate to a great extent. (6, 7)

Consuming this pepper as a detox drink is one of the easiest ways of consuming it. Then there is always sprinkling it on your main meals. But let us focus on the former.

How and When

You just need to add ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper and juice of ½ lemon in lukewarm water. If you are not suited with its taste, you can always add some honey to enhance its flavor. You can have this drink in the morning, but make sure that you do not have it after workouts or rigorous exercises.

12. Weight loss, With or without Exercise?

 Let us talk on another serious point.

 Can you lose weight without exercise?

 The answer is yes, you can. Exercise is not required to lose weight (till some level) but that is a slow process. Exercise increases your weight loss process and also gives you shape, and with that you look slimmer.

So these Natural remedies and diet helps you to lose weight but I also suggest you to do regular exercise at least half an hour, so you can get your weight loss aims quicker and body in shape (which we all want).

Drinking 3-5 cups daily for 3 day,s can burn 80-100 calories without doing anything. Its antioxidant properties remove toxins and help in burning belly fat.

 Chia seeds are an uncommon ingredient in Indian Kitchens but I try to make you aware and informative as much as I can.

  • Chia seeds are quite useful in weight loss. They have high fiber content and thus keep you full for long.
  • Chia seeds contain an important ingredient known as leptin, which suppresses hunger and reduces appetite.
  • It also provides energy and help in detoxification of the body.

How to eat and When

Chia seeds need to be soaked overnight for consumption. You can sprinkle swollen Chia seeds on yogurt and have it with fresh fruit, or you can top it on your smoothie.

You can also prepare chia seeds water by letting the seeds soak in it for an hour or more and add half spoon Lemon Juice and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning or even before sleeping. Another simple way is to add this natural remedy in your oatmeal and have it for breakfast.

18. Drink More Water – You read it often

 Water is your best friend when you want to lose weight and have a healthy body. It not only makes you slim, but improves your skin and hair as well. Drinking water not only keeps you full for long, appetite. You do not eat more when you are already filled with water in your stomach.

Water also helps in flushing out toxins from your body and kidneys, which helps in burning fat as well. Plus, it has zero calories, so drink off as much as you want! I do not think that I would need to ramble and go on and on talking about this amazing liquid, it is quite known of how water helps your body.

Make sure that you drink at least 2-3 liters per day. The more, the merrier!

19. Eat At least 6 time

Eating more meals during the day, but in fewer portion sizes, can help in curbing your appetite and not let you exceed your caloric value. Eating more times helps you to stay full at each point of the day, and it will make sure that you do not get cravings or binge- eat.

How to Divide

You simply need to divide your calories in forms of healthy food, recipes and meals, such that you meet your daily 1200-1300 caloric value. Snacking in between meals can help you to eat less during your main meals, again saving on caloric count.

But make sure that those snacks include healthy food items such as peanuts, fruits, air popped popcorn, or nuts.

20. Eat in small plate 

Now this is a psychological trick which works really well, and I am telling you this after having tried myself. Using a smaller plate makes you feel that you have already consumed enough food and that you should stop.

Your brain gets signals that your stomach is full already and that you should no longer keep on eating. You do not realize the huge quantity of food that you place in a larger plate, and hence end up overeating. Take small quantities, and refill only if needed.

6 Tips to use Home Remedies Safely

  1. Follow the proper manner of making and taking the home remedy.
  2. Don’t exceed daily limit of any remedy.
  3. Don’t use a too many remedies at the same time, as that can impact negatively.
