Hello friends, today we are going to talk about whether eating chocolate can help you lose weight. Chocolate can help you to lose weight. Wow! It sounds so good to hear that, and the amazing thing is that it is absolutely true.

But you must be thinking that chocolate is high caloric and filled with sugar, then how is it possible? Let us talk about it.

Here chocolate refers to dark chocolate, which has more than 70% cocoa content, or less sugar or sugarless chocolate, and not those chocolates which have high milk and less cocoa content.

If we have dark chocolate 20 mins before or 5 mins after a main meal, it does not let our blood sugar level to fluctuate easily and maintains it, which helps us feel full for a long time. It helps us to combat cravings for high carbohydrate or sweet food, and thus our overall caloric intake decreases.

Apart from this, dark chocolate contains components known as flavanoids, which burns our fat. Now it is clear that chocolate helps in weight loss, but it does not mean that we start eating one whole chocolate bar per day.

Chocolate is a high calorie food. One medium sized chocolate contains more than 400 calories.

So eating more than 1, or maximum 2 pieces in day can result in negative results rather than benefiting you because it is a low nutritious and high caloric food.
