20 May Ganna juice (Sugarcane juice) and Weight Loss – Should You Drink it?

Sugarcane juice seems like holy nectar during summers. And why shouldn’t it feel like it? When our energies drop during summers, we feel tired, dehydrated and exhausted. Sugarcane juice makes us feel cool, and gives quick energy. You feel refreshed after drinking a glass of sugarcane juice.
Sugarcane juice is 100% natural, and it has a lot of health benefits, such as, it provides quick energy, improves our immunity power, and makes our skin clear. There are a lot of benefits.
Along with a number of benefits, sugarcane juice has a lot of negative effects in context to weight loss as well. We would need to compare and witness about the effects.
Sugarcane juice reduces the inflammation of our body, and we all know that it is really difficult to lose weight with inflammation.
Along with this, sugarcane juice is alkaline in nature, which reduces acidity and it improves our digestion.
This is about how sugarcane juice can help in weight loss. Now let us have a look at the negative effects.
One glass of sugarcane juice has almost 180 calories, which has 30 grams of sugar and almost 0 trace of fiber. It means that similar to other fruit juices, it is high in sugar and low in fiber content.
We all know that sugar gets absorbed very easily and give high energy. Fiber reduces the sugar absorption rate which gives energy slowly. But juices do not contain fiber and thus sugar gets absorbed quickly and we get energy quickly.
Many experts say that when that energy is not used, it gets stored in the form of fat. Also, this energy lowers down within some time, and we start to feel hungry suddenly. And so, we either drink more juice or end up eating something, which totals up our calorie intake.
So there are 2 things, sugarcane juice in itself has many calories and after consuming it, we higher our chances of consuming extra calories.
It means that if we drink it every day with our normal diet then it will only make us fat. And if you are on a weight loss diet then you cannot even think about it for everyday,
So comparing sugarcane juice for weight loss, it in fact gives more bad effects.
So for regular use, it is a big NO. It is okay occasionally, but you should eat less sugary foods and high fiber foods such that vegetables on that day. And do not increase the calorie count on that day; just keep these things in mind.
