Fenugreek seeds are widely used throughout India and it is a common herb used every day in the Indian household. Also known as Methi seeds, Dana methi in Hindi, Vendhayam in tamil. Did you know that it is also beneficial for weight loss? It contains a compound called Galactomannan which is a water-soluble component, which helps you feel full and reduces weight.

Let me ask you this. How many ways have you tried to lose weight and succeeded? I presume, all in vain. Trust me, fenugreek is one of the most effective methods for weight loss. Drinking methi water in the morning on an empty stomach is quite beneficial. We have discussed below how fenugreek water helps.

How Fenugreek Water Helps In Reducing Your Weight

Let’s discuss all Fenugreek Properties one by one.

Element known as Galactomannan:

Fenugreek is highly rich in fiber content. It contains galactomannan which is a healthy polysaccharide and it helps in burning fat and lowering down the sugar level. Thus, it omits fat from our body in the form of ATP and helping in weight loss.

Healthy carbohydrates

High carbohydrate content leads to weight gain at a rapid pace. Fenugreek seeds are known to contain some healthy carbohydrates which do not let you gain weight easily.

Rich in fiber

Fenugreek contains 75% of water soluble fiber which is helpful in weight loss. By reading our previous articles, you must have known the health benefits of food items like Flaxseeds containing high fiber content. Fiber also helps you feel full and does not give you the urge to eat unnecessarily.

Consuming fenugreek water in the morning every day can help you get rid of constipation as well due to the presence of high fiber content. It thus increases the metabolic rate of our body and helps in fat burning.

(We have also discussed about metabolism in detail earlier and you can read about it here).

Hunger killing constituents

Fenugreek holds a great deal in reducing your hunger and helping you eat less. It automatically stops you from binge eating and gaining unnecessary calories. This helps you a lot in the long run and you lose weight rapidly.

Sugar content breakdown

Consuming fenugreek water every day can help in sugar breakdown, which increases your metabolic rate and you burn fat faster. The increased metabolic rate and fat burning process go hand in hand which is successfully triggered by fenugreek seeds.

Even NIH Study on rats says that is inhibits fat accumulation in rats too. You now have enough reasons to start consuming fenugreek water daily to shred those extra holiday pounds.
