Hello friends, I am Seema and I have lost 28 kgs with 100% natural way. And I share my experience through this YouTube channel.

Herbs and spices are those parts of the plants, which we use every day in our homes as masalas to improve food taste. Humans know that these masalas are really important to improve overall health, so almost all people over the world these spices regularly, especially us Indians.

But do you know that we can use these spices in losing our weight as well. Now let us talk about 5 such herbs and spices which help us in weight loss.

The first is ginger or adrak – There are a number of benefits in weight loss. Basically, ginger produces thermogenic effect, which increases our metabolic rate and we burn more fat. Also, if you take it between meals then it will reduce your hunger and you will end up consuming fewer calories.

Not only that, it also reduces your bloating and gas. There are so many benefits of ginger, but how do we include it in our diet?

The best way to include ginger for weight loss is through ginger tea. It is really simple to make it. Add 1 piece of ginger in 1 glass of water and boil it, and your ginger tea is ready.

You can also add lemon and honey to increase its weight loss properties, which will also enhance its taste.

The second weight loss spice is cinnamon – You might have heard its name a number of times for weight loss. Cinnamon keeps our blood sugar level low, and it also reduces our digestion process. Both these effects help in keeping us full for a longer time.

Cinnamon also increases our metabolism.

The most famous and effective way to consume cinnamon is honey cinnamon tea. It is one of the famous home remedies for losing weight.

It is also really simple to prepare. Boil 1 glass of water, add half teaspoon cinnamon powder and let it cool down for a while. Strain it and add 1 tbsp honey to it. You can also add lemon and ginger to it to increase its weight loss properties.

The best time to drink it is in the morning on an empty stomach, only then it will benefit you the most. But you can also consume it during snack time or before sleeping, which controls your hunger.

The third weight loss spice is chili – It not only burns our mouth but also burns our fat. According to an Indian scientist residing in U.S., there are 2 kinds of cells in our body which are white cells which store fat and brown cells which burn white fat cells and use it as energy. Now this capsaicin converts white cells into brown cells which help in burning more fat.  Isn’t it amazing?

Also, if you consume chili in your salad before your main meal, it reduces your hunger and you can consume up to 70 calories less.

So eating chili not only helps in fewer calories intake but also burns more fat.

The 4th weight loss spice is jeera –  Jeera or cumin is an important part of tempering or tadka. It has all those benefits which should be in a weight loss food. It detoxifies our body, improves our digestive system, reduces hunger AND (most importantly) helps in reducing belly fat. Now what else do you need?

Well, you can consume jeera in a number of ways. Consuming jeera water in the morning on an empty stomach affects a lot for weight loss. Along with this, mixing jeera powder with low fat curd helps in reduction of waist size.

The 5th weight loss food is black pepper or kali mirch – Being nutritious; it contains a component known as piperine which specifically improves fat metabolism, which burns more fat.

Black pepper tea is mostly famous for weight loss but I mainly add it in my salads, sprouts, oats etc, which increases its taste.

There are also other effective spices and herbs other than these 5 such as coriander, turmeric, garlic, mint, ajwain (carom), saunf (fennel seeds) etc. Or we can also say that almost all natural spices are good for our health and weight loss. It only depends on how and when you consume them.

But do not overuse herbs and spices. Do not assume that taking cinnamon tea or cumin water 4 times in a day is beneficial. You should consume it only once or max twice in a day.

And instead of overusing one food, focus on your overall diet, only then you will be able to lose weight regularly. And one important thing, keep on changing these drinks every 8-10 days. In this way, our body will not get used to it and we will gain benefits from weight loss properties of different and varied kinds of food.
