No diet plan 🙁

No exercise 🙁

My weight– 85 kgs – No Change in 15 days

I did not gain weight in the last 15 days. I am so grateful to god! Thank you thank you thank you so much! Today I am so happy as if I have lost another 2 kgs in these 15 days. But I am happy I did not gain any weight. We have had so much fun in the past 15 days. We ate a lot and traveled like crazy. If I had gained even one kg, I would regret all the fun I had. But everything is well and I am home now. I can again follow my diet and exercise regime strictly.

I did not exercise or follow my diet in the past 15 days but took care that I did not have more food and thus more calories. Although I consumed junk food after a long period of time such as McD’s burger, Domino’s pizza and many other unhealthy food items, but I took into consideration to consume calories within a limit.

I would like to share another recipe with you which I am consuming since a long time. Oats can be prepared in a number of ways and I prepare it with buttermilk.

Oats with Buttermilk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 3 small spoons of oats
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Salt to taste

Process

Bring water to boil and add oats in it. Stir it till it cooks well. When it is cooked thick, add buttermilk to it and stir it properly. When this mixture reaches boiling, add salt to it. Now transfer this mixture in a bowl and eat it warm or cold as per your taste.

Benefits of consuming oats – Oats are really healthy for our body and they contain very less calories which is beneficial for weight loss. It contains high fiber content and water absorbing properties which help to control hunger and you eat less. Along with weight loss, oats help in improving our body’s immune system. It helps in decreasing the bad cholesterol and lowers down blood pressure. It also helps in fighting many other heart related problems such as diabetes, asthma and also advantageous in fighting cancer.

NOTE - Friends, I am not dietitian or Doctor, I write information here on the basis of my own 25 kilo weight loss experience and sometimes from online research. Please take doctor advice before applying any tip, as each and every human body is different.

    Hello, Seema.
I have been reading your blog with great interest to see how you are doing with your weight loss plan. Good for you for taking this step and learning about how to become more healthy.

As I read your diet plan, it looks like you may not be eating enough food! Keep in mind that losing weight and keeping it off requires diligent commitment to healthy living for a long time. We all can survive on little food for a while and lose weight but it cannot last without creating problems in the future. It may take you longer to lose the weight but it will stay off if you create a diet and exercise plan that you can live with forever. Be sure to add more vegetables to your diet and more good fats like avocado, ghee, etc. Even the oat recipe you show seems like 3 small spoons of oats is not enough.

There is more research and evidence showing that eating good fat is what will keep you satisfied and helps you lose weight. It is not eating fat that makes you gain weight but it is the sugar (even from good things like too much fruit and carbohydrates) that leads to fat gain. If you can read Dr. Mark Hyman’s new book called “Eat Fat, Get Thin” or go to his website to get free information and recipes on this topic you will learn some new things. His website is http://www.drhyman.com.

I hope you are okay with my making these comments.

Be well and keep learning and experimenting!

Thanks Lia, for great points, I really need those for weight loss. Yeah I am also after weight loss which stay long. Your point on taking more fat instead of sugar contained products like in fruits, will keep this mind. Its our bed luck avocado is not available in my area or nearby. Will surely use Ghee instead.

Right now i am working on my 1400 Calorie plan. Checking many foods to fulfill these with proper nutrition we need.
I am also checking Dr Hyman articles to get more info about healthy weight loss.
Thanks again Lia, Keep in touch 🙂
